Willow Woodchip/Kindling/Biomass Collection
Willow helps get our wood stove started on our farm every winter. It also makes for great ramial chipped wood (green wood that still has great nutrient value). And if you have any other projects where you need woody biomass, these are some of our favorites and product more woody material than most of our others. Coppiced willow stands grow in easy to harvest, easy to chop rows. All three of these will produce extremely straight and rods that are an inch in diameter by the end of the growing season.

Collection Bundle Contents:
Hairy Willow Cutting 2pc - Not only great for creating woody biomass, but it consistently produces a pretty catkin that is stable after harvest.
Holme Willow Cutting 2pc - Excellent, fast growing willow with tall, thick, and straight branches. It also has the interesting characteristic of keeping its leaves on the rod late into winter.
Hybrid Willow Cutting 2pc - Notable for its straight rods. In addition to biomass for burning or mulching, this can also be used for structures like bean trellises or small furniture.
Schwerins Willow Cutting 2pc - Schwerins produces some of the tallest rods in our willow bed every year, While it doesn't grow perfectly straight, the diameter at the base is impressive and the color of the wood is a beautiful dark red.
This product is a dormant cutting that will take root, leaf out, and grow if planted under the right conditions. Since plant propagation success rates can vary depending on climate, location, and timing there is no universal recipe for success. If you are new to plant propagation, follow the link on each product page for 'Videos on How to Propagate...'.
