Nijiseiki Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia 'Nijiseiki') Scionwood
Very similar to Shinseiki, Nijiseiki is an asian pear that is round and primarily yellow with some russetting. It becomes sweet early in the season for us but hangs on the tree for an extended period. An early pear for us in the cool pacific northwest is mid to late August so depending on your local climate, it may ripen much earlier. Nijiseiki is very prolific providing a lot of fruit for us only two years after planting.
This product is a dormant cutting that will generally be used for grafting onto an existing tree of the same type or onto compatible rootstock. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee grafting success. If you are new to grafting, follow the link on each product page for 'Videos on Grafting...'.
