Grower's Notes (Our Experience):
Mulka Red Currant is a variety we grow that features a slightly larger berry than some of our other varieties. The fruit has a translucent skin through which the seeds are visible, and it delivers a very tart flavor. We typically use red currants for jams or baked into pastries rather than eaten fresh. Maybe it's because we didn't grow up eating the berries? The plant is productive, healthy, and continues to perform well into the middle of summer. Additionally, it is easy to propagate from cuttings taken when the plant is dormant.
