Grower's Notes (Our Experience):
Desert King is one of our favorite Figs. It provides a a predictable, bountiful, and good quality Breba crop weeks before the main crop of even the earliest varieties starts to ripen. While it is well known in the Pacific Northwest because it takes Figs forever to ripen here, we highly recommend this fig to everyone we know. Because the first variety of fruit to ripen during the growing season has its own special place. The first fruit of summer as it were! Desert King has a green exterior and a pink flesh with a good taste.
This product is a dormant cutting that will take root, leaf out, and grow if planted under the right conditions. Since plant propagation success rates can vary depending on climate, location, and timing there is no universal recipe for success.
