Titania Black Currant is a variety we grow that has a stronger taste than some of our other black currants due to its lower sugar content. Because of this flavor profile, we recommend processing it into jam, a crumble, or cooking it in some way. This plant is very vigorous, productive, and resistant to powdery mildew and white pine blister rust.

Titania Black Currant is a vigorous, upright deciduous shrub reaching a mature height of 3 to 5 feet and a similar spread. It produces large, firm black berries that ripen simultaneously in July, offering a tart flavor suitable for jams, juices, and baking. The plant exhibits resistance to powdery mildew and white pine blister rust. Suitable for USDA hardiness zones 3 through 7, this variety performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil.
