Grower's Notes (Our Experience):
Caradoc Curly Willow features distinct, contorted branches which we find similar to a golden corkscrew willow. Unlike varieties that dry to a dull brown, this cultivar showcases a bright yellow coloration when fresh, which gently fades to a softer yellow tone after about six months of drying. As the branches age into their second or third year on the plant, they naturally develop a browner hue, so we recommend annual pruning to consistently harvest the most colorful decorative stems. The growth habit is sturdy, the slight curling allows the stems to hold themselves upright without weeping or falling over. We offer these as live cuttings that readily take root when placed in moist soil with adequate sunlight.

Caradoc Curly Willow is an upright deciduous tree featuring contorted, twisted branches that display a bright yellow color on young growth. It produces narrow green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. This fast-growing variety thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts to moist, well-drained soils across USDA hardiness zones 4 through 8. It responds well to annual pruning to maintain stem color for decorative use.
