California Lilac (Ceanothus thyrsiflorus) Wildflower: This California Lilac (Ceanothus thyrsiflorus) Wildflower originated from Palo Alto, California, United States. It was painted in 1935 by Mary Vaux Walcott (1860-1940).

The Painting:  Mary Morris Vaux Walcott (July 31, 1860 – August 22, 1940) was an American artist and naturalist known for her watercolor paintings of wildflowers. Over many summers Mary travelled to the Canadian Rockies looking for important flowering species to paint. In 1925, the Smithsonian published some 400 of her illustrations, accompanied by brief descriptions, in a five-volume work entitled North American Wild Flowers.

The Card:  These are high-quality matte 4” by 6” one-sided cards that can be used as a post card or framed as part of a wall arrangement.  The cards have the following characteristics: 4/4 full bleed; 300 GSM; paper thickness is 0.13″; and laminated feel. These are not greeting cards and do not come with an envelope.
